There is a saying dat 2 wrongs do not make a right, if 4 centuries the lower caste has been supressed, humilated n exploited by the so called `upper class`, then in the modern enlightened world following the policy of reservartion will not make up 4 the wrongs done by the people of the yester years.
The policy of reservations was adopted by the framers of the constitution as a temparory step to uplift the lower class, keeping the picture of british india in mind, but things have changed today. Upliftment of lower class at the cost of the upper class will ultimately lead to the supression of the upper class and this is a viscious circle that best be avoided. Giving benefits to one section at the cost of the other is a violation of article no. 15 and 16 of our very constitution. Reservations are dividing up our society into the general category and superior category(SC)
Even after 60 years of independence instead of moving towards the egalitarian social structure, we are moving backwards.
Merit should be the sole criteria for the selection of a candidate and not his caste or religion. Once the candidate proves his talent and qualifies the entrance exam thereafter the govt. is free to provide any help it wants. Therefore the sole consideration should be financial backwardness and not social backwardness becoz it is the financial backwardness that is the root cause of social backwardness.
By reserving seats govt. is engaging in popular politics and nothing else. There are so many other ways by which the govt. can uplift those lower classes but ya sure dat would have required much more effort, vision and dedication by our honourable Arjun Singh, but i guess his age does not allow him.
What if 2morrow other sections start demanding reservations for themselves, what has the govt thought bout dat

good job dude!~!........wel tis true reservations r eatin up the country like hell!!!!!!!!!!........bt i thnk reservations at the primary level will b cool......cz u du need to help out pple man......ok d deservin pple dnt get it as u say........bt eradicay\tin the system all2gedr wud mean absolutly erasing hope for pple hu hav it in them to make it to the top bt cant cz o financial or other reasons.......kyun?........dnt u thnk least sm help should b provided???????............i thnk it shud......coz in a country like india.......half the population below the poverty line........they need serious help man....to stand up.......they not like us wit loadful o money in their hands........they need help which shud b give.........jst dat the govts goin round the rong wayyyyyy.........
